Council and Committees

 

The governance structure used by CBRM is a Council/Committee system as authorized by the Municipal Government Act. This system enables the Municipal Council to delegate powers and duties to the Standing Committees of Council. The Standing Committees are appointed annually, pursuant to the Resolution on Committees.  Click here to view the Committee composition for 2011.
