Mayor and Council

The Council of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality is comprised of the Mayor and 16 Councillors. The Mayor is elected at large and there is one Councillor elected per district. The Deputy Mayor is selected by Council on an annual basis.

The regular monthly meeting of the Council is held on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, Civic Centre, 320 Esplanade, Sydney, Nova Scotia. The Minutes of those meetings are available on this web site.
