Planning Advisory Committee

  1. The Planning Advisory Committee shall assist the Council in the exercising of any power and carrying out of any duty conferred or imposed upon the Regional Municipality by the Municipal Government Act , and in particular to advise the Council in the preparation, amendment or revision of planning strategies, land-use by-laws, and subdivision by-laws and on land use matters generally, and to carry out the functions of a Planning Advisory Committee pursuant to the Planning Act.
  2. The Planning Advisory Committee consists of ten members, eight of whom are members of the Council and two of whom are not.
