Holiday Transit Schedule
Holiday Service Schedule (10 a.m. – 6 p.m.)
Transit service operates from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the following holidays:
Note: Route 2 does not operate on these days.
- Easter Monday – Monday after Easter Sunday
- Victoria Day – Monday before May 25
- Civic Holiday – First Monday in August
Canada Day Service – July 1
Transit operates on a regular full-service schedule on Canada Day,
Note: Special Canada Day Routing:
- Route 1: Extended to Intercolonial and Ferry Street to provide access to Open Hearth Park celebrations.(Drop Off Only - Pickup George & Pitt)
- Route 2: Does not operate
- Route 5: Extended to Ferry Street and Intercolonial to provide access to Open Hearth Park celebrations.(Drop Off Only - Pickup George & Pitt)
- Route 5: Additional run at the end of the day for Northside events
- Route 10: Extended to Ferry Street and Intercolonial to provide access to Open Hearth Park celebrations.(Drop Off Only - Pickup George & Pitt)
- Route 12: Extended to Ferry Street and Intercolonial for to provide access to Open Hearth Park celebrations.(Drop Off Only - Pickup George & Pitt)
No Service Holidays
Transit service does not operate on the following statutory holidays:
- New Year’s Day – January 1
- Nova Scotia Heritage Day – Third Monday in February
- Good Friday – Friday before Easter Sunday
- Labour Day – First Monday in September
- National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – September 30
- Thanksgiving Day – Second Monday in October
- Remembrance Day – November 11
- Christmas Day – December 25
- Boxing Day – December 26
Handi-Trans Service
For holidays with scheduled service, Handi-Trans bookings must be made at least 72 hours in advance.
